HAREing HINTS
1. Contact the HARERAISER. (if there is one)
2. Volunteer to lay a trail.
3. Find what dates are available.  And book'em !
4. If you are a Virgin HARE, ask an experienced HASHER to be your co-HARE.
An experienced HARE can provide guidance in getting better BEER prices, better Food prices, and in
explaining advantages and disadvantages of trail ideas, (A to A, A to B, Live HARE vs Dead HARE) the placement
of marks, ideas of how to keep the pack together and hopefully many other things that make a HASH Trail a
good experience and to help avoid getting ICED.
  5. Determine if you should or can do a Live HARE trail or a Dead HARE trail.
  6. Develop information to mail a FLYER and for Web Page.
Include Day, Date, Time, Cost, Meeting Place (with directions if necessary) and Theme info.
If you are promoting a theme, make the HASHERS show-off in public places, not where the garments will get trashed, or unseen.
  7. Trail can lead the pack almost anywhere.
Malls, fields, woods, street, roads, railroad tracks, up hills, down hills, streams, swamps, creeks
Posted property and no trespassing signs should be considered!
  8. Marks should be explained at the CHALK TALK.
  9.  Determine how much money to charge. Most regular EERIE runs are $8.00 for BEER  & food. Full moons are normally $5.00.
10. Give $ome token amount to the HA$H CA$H. (minimally $10.00)
11. Have BEER at the start.
12. Lay the trail with something that won't get you arrested.
Chalk, Flour, Birdseed, Sawdust, Toilet Paper, Colored Flour, Highway Marking Tape,Corn Meal or something Bio-Degradable.
13. Trail can be from 1-6 miles long.
14. Trail should have appx. 1-3 BEER stops. Please keep in mind, this is to promote athleticism!
15. Water at BEER stops is not mandatory but, you should provide it.
16. Budget your money to buy BEER (food) at the ON-IN and for DOWN-DOWNS
17. You do not have an obligation to get everyone drunk or fat.
These are only hints to help HASHERS lay a trail.   There are hardly any absolute rules.   Sooooooo
Remember it isn't a HASH unless something gets Fucked-up!

       GUIDANCE for TRAIL MARKS
These are the basic marks used,  you can use some or all of these marks on
your trail,  but you should explain them or any new marks at the CHALK TALK.
Explaination of what the marks mean, is the HARE's responisbility.
1MARK
2CHECK     X   or  +
3BACK CHECK       BC      or        BC 3  (go back 3 marks)
BACK CHECKS CAN HAVE ANY NUMBER BY THE CHECK
4BOOB CHECK      OO
5DICK CHECK       DC
6VIEW CHECK       VC
7EAGLE TRAILET
8TURKEY TRAIL     TT
9FALSEF or ybf (you been fucked) or  =  (3 parallel lines), or some outatowners use a T
10ARROW    ( you know...an arrow!)
ARROWS CAN BE TRUE TRAIL OR THEY MIGHT NOT BE TRUE
12BEER STOPB   or   BN (beer near)
13ON-IN...should be marked as ON-IN !
THESE MARKS CAN BE MODIFIED,  IF YOU HAVE THE GUTS TO FUCK WITH HASHERS.

If you are using tape, you should make sure the hounds know what color the tape is; if one tape tied to a branch is a mark, two tapes are a check, 3 tapes are a false, or whatever your code is.
Don't make it too difficult..these are half-minded wankers!
